[macOS] Homebrew - The missing package manager for OS X/macOS

Hello Everyone.

I'm sharing this for those who may be new to Macs and find themselves needing a utility from time to time, or want an easier means of installing certain packages. Homebrew describes its key functionality as installing the stuff you need that Apple didn’t - like wget for example.

Requirements
  1. Xcode is downloaded and installed.
  2. Xcode has been launched and it's license has been agreed to.
How to install brew
  1. Open a terminal
  2. Paste in the following command
    Code:
    /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"


  3. Your terminal will look like the following:

  4. You can now install packages prepared for Homebrew using a command like the one below:
    Code:
    brew install wget
